Attention Whore- HOURS late!

So yesterday around 6 PM I wanted to get a blog post up that would allow me to totally just attention whore. But for some reason blogger was adding my videos insanely slow!


Then I come back around 11:30 PM thinking that FB would upload them faster and I could just embed them here....but no luck....


And in the midst of all of this more great stuff happened (new stuff in red text)


But for some reason I laid awake until 5 AM and I'm up now (at 8:45 AM) and feel totally awake which is sooooo strange.

I had a totally different post in mind for today but I've been lagging (didn't take a shower until 12) and this particular post requires me to search for video (that DOES exist) somewhere on my computer.... (Edit: I started typing this post out at like 5 PM. It's now 11:25 and I'm still trying to get it up because of stoopid blogger.) 


So do you mind if I take a minute to completely attention whore some really cool stuff? 


First my husband decided today was a good day to love me in my language....which just happens to be gift receiving (hush...I'm not really shallow). He came home and surprised with my first sewing table, flowers, and sewing machine case. He's now been working on putting the thing together for about 2 hours. I start my sewing class Monday and I'm getting all kinds of goosebumps!

Then when my lovely hubby arrived home so did my now all-time favorite sexy mom high-heels. OMG I am soooooo in love with these (and so is my husband). They are super comfy, the right size heel to chase a terrorizing terrific toddler in, and just plain AWESOME. I've been watching these on Piperlime and thinking them over for awhile and the other day I was in my email searching my "Items Wanted" (I clearly I have issues) folder with a hankering to purchase and came across these. And it was my lucky day because they we're on sale for $60. Unfortunately it's not your lucky day because they are no longer on sale...but trust me....they are worth it. Even my hubby agrees I should spend the extra $40 and get another pair.

Then Cody Simpson's (click here to find out who Cody is) iYiY hit iTunes yesterday (front page) and we just found out that in 24 hours iYiY is number #95 on the top 100 iTunes list. This is AWESOME for new artist and it's only the second day! And it's number #19 on the Australian iTunes chart! To hear the song in full hit his YouTube page.

Edit: Now as of Thursday, June 3rd at 8:47 AM the song jumped 27 spots overnight and is now #68 on US charts!

And #14 on Aussie charts!

But that's not all folks. The Billboard article on Cody (and featuring a mini quote from the hubsters) is also on-line as the front page! And on news stands the 5th.

And not to be out down.......... A delicious grilled lunch Phoenix made for me today.

Boy does it get any better??

FYI: I am in the process of moving over to Wordpress and my own domain so be aware you may have to update your feeds and all. I'm really nervous I'm going to lose you all in the move :-(

Not the most creative or inspired outfit. I rolled over at 10 AM and realized I was way late for church so this was what I put together in 20 minutes. You all are probably sick of seeing these jeans, but really I love them. I own maybe 10 pairs of jeans (Should I own more? I'm not a big jeans fan) and three are these distressed style but these Aero's are so perfectly worn in and comfy. They're actually about 2 sizes to big (yeah!) but I LOOOOOVE them. Maybe after vacation I'll start a jean shopping trip.


I also need some new simple black leather flip flops and some wedges but I'm seriously not finding anything of interest in the shoe department lately.

My Mom picked this suit up on sale at Target the Monday after Easter. It's like a tan and white seersucker with pink tie that has sailboats on it. He looked super adorable in this. But what I loved was that it was a size 18 months (he's a tiny one) and it fit snug enough that he looked like Pete Wentz in a tight punk rock suit. I loved it. I think I'll always buy his suits a bit snug. 

Have a great weekend everyone! The countdown until my husband gets home and we go on vacation starts today. That also means I'll be packing like crazy and hating myself under those awful dressing room lights as I try on swimsuits and cursing the stretch marks and post-baby bump that is still there. But then Phoenix will say something like "Oh. My. Gosh! Manny colored!" (His toy Handy Manny Phone had been colored on) like he did this week (with so much dramatics) and I'll be happy I have those stretch marks, saggy breast, and baby gut because if not he wouldn't be here.

Side Note: We had a conference at church this past weekend and Saturday one of the kids came up and said he had this necklace that he wanted to give Phoenix. He said he had been praying and asking the Lord who to give it to and the Lord showed him Phoenix, and then he realized it had a Monkey on it (which is one of Phoenix's nicknames). I thought it was such a great, great story!

So this is what I wore: Embellished Shoulder Pads

I hope you all got a chance to check out my embellished shoulder pads DIY last week. And hopefully you don't think I'm too loony.  

But if you're in fact thinking of taking on this same project below is a few snapshots of how I plan on wearing this top. 


I haven't actually worn it yet because each time I think of wearing it its a bit to cold out and I don't think a coat would work well over the shirt.

So here's how I wore it-

I think the leggings and wedges are a great date night look, but I really love the jeans with the top too. I like taking really dressy pieces and "dumbing" them down. 

So this is how I plan on wearing my new fashion accessory I hope you try it too!

P.S. I recently ran across a new fashion blog and realized that I retitled the Fashion Roulette to So this is what I wore and this blog happens to be titled almost the same thing. I swear, I swear I had NO IDEA and now I'm wondering if I have to change it back. What do you think?

Fashion Mourning

I'm wondering if there was anyone else out there who reads my blog who was poised and ready to spend a buck on fantastic clothing this morning? 


You'll remember that last week I introduced you to my favorite Flash Sale websites. The best one being The OutNet who in celebration of their one year anniversary was offering their shoppers Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Phillip Lim and best of all Christian Louboutin's for one dollar. The only catch was you could only only purchase one thing and the start of the sale was a secret until the moment it started.


When I heard about the sale I immediately determined I would not sleep at all and would stay up and constantly check my email to be ready to go. But in the excitement of my husband coming home and being able to catch up on 4 episodes of Lost (I think I've figured it out by the way) I completely forgot about the sale until about midnight. I popped open my laptop and logged on to Gmail, put my phone on vibrate and kept my phone and credit card in my hand waiting for the buzz of the phone alerting me to new email. 


(Unbeknownst to me my husband snapped a picture of me when he came back to the room. Of course the bright like sun flash woke me up.)

So there I am laying in bed in my cute polka dot jammies dreaming and hoping and praying that this sale wasn't a farce and that all the rumors we're true.


I think I got up once an hour to check my email. Finally at 7:45 AM I popped up checked my email and saw that it had started. With shaking legs and blurry vision I rolled onto the floor pulled my laptop up and logged on.


It was there and then  at 7:48 AM that all my hopes and dreams we're shattered like a light bulb when I begin to pursue the page only to find big huge pink circles that spelled out those horrific words....Sold Out.


I was positively bummed out and couldn't believe my bad luck. 


But like I said on Twitter "We'll always have full price Christians, Phillip Lims & Stella. Time to pick myself up & get to My Gym "cwass" on time. #outnet :-("


Is there anyone out there that was luck enough to score anything or are we all mourning and sitting Shiva today?

Top- H&M. These shoulder embellished tops are all over right now. I actually have a super fierce (or fetch) (which uber cool word sounds better? I'm trying to bring it back.) DIY version to show you this week. But be warned it is not for the faint of fashion.

And it's summer er I mean spring so that means Slurpee's are a must.

Also I got a really cool email this weekend asking ME to give my number one baby tip to this iPhone app. Pretty cool. Huh? So what's my tip? 


No matter what always trust your mommy/daddy intuition. Always. Period.

Monday he listened but cried and was clingy during circle time, so here's to hoping no more tears, but most of all NO FOUR LETTER WORDS PUH-LEAZE!!!
