Mothers Day Giveaway Winner!

Am I the only one who just can't seem to get motivated this week? We missed My Gym class TWO days IN A ROW! Will they kick us out?

I just feel so tired and want to sleep ALL DAY LONG. Yesterday of course was no help with all the rain and dreary weather. Hopefully I can get my butt in gear today.

Luckily I did pull myself up enough to announce the winner of the Mother's Day Giveaway!

The winner is comment #6 Sharon!
Sharon please email me your mailing address so I can forward it on to our sponsor!

I'm very guilty of not letting my husband know how much I appreciate him and I'm equally guilty of not letting all of my readers  friends ( I DO consider you all friends) know how much I appreciate the follows and comments and RTing and linking!

I have to admit that I can get down sometimes because I feel like I pour myself into a blog post and I'll end up with zero comments and then I'll head over to someone else's blog and get major major blog envy at their growing subscribers and comments and it'll make me want to just quit.

But I am constantly reminding myself that I would rather have 10 loyal friends and commenter's then a 1000 "subscribers" that never say much here or only comment with links back to their own blogs.

So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.  I really, really, really love writing this blog and as long as there is one person (even if that one is my Mom) reading I'll still be here!

CLOSED -Mom's Day Giveaway!

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED! CLICK HERE TO SEE IF YOU WON

EDIT: Error with end dates. Has been updated.

Here I was just bopping along on my merry way when I realized that Mothers Day was fast approaching and I wasn't even done my "Approved-Gift List" for my husband. I have since narrowed it down to a sewing machine and a necklace with name charms for my guys.

Plus I've narrowed down a few zillion pairs of shoes I might treat myself too.

But what I have for you today is a Mommy Day's giveaway for all you lovely lovely mommys, moms-to-be, or a gift to give another mom, or moms to fur babies and shoes (yes shoes are babies too!)

During the hours I spend searching Etsy a week I bumped into Anne from Handmade by Anne Potter.

Anne's a SAHM to 5 (this includes a teenager! Blessings to you Anne!!!) kiddos and loves to use recycled and interesting material in her work.

Anne's shop includes beautiful home decor, jewelry, accessories, and holiday pieces.

Everything in Anne's shop is inspired by travel and her shop donates 50% of all profits to missions! Gotta love that!

Check just some of the great things from her shop!

My favorite!!!!!

Anne has graciously offered to give one of our readers this adorable Cape Cod Linen Market Bag. Love, love, love this bag and I wish I could win it, but sadly I'm not eligible (or I am I? hehehe)

To enter all you have to do is leave a comment telling me what's on your Mom's Day wish list with your email address.

Slob Proof Your House Giveaway! (CLOSED!!!)

This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for entering. Click here to see if you won.

Right now in about 2-3 weeks time I won't really know exactly where I'll be living, ok I know, but I don't know for how long. I don't know if I'll be on the East coast or West. Hotel or house. (to get the full story click here) So for me to be doing a post on decorating might be kind of silly, but maybe not because you all still have places to live so you need to get decorating right?

And besides when I finally do figure out where I'm going and for how long I'll need to decorate.

Now I figure most of you who read my blog are probably like me. You've got one (or maybe more than one) messy toddler or kid at home and a equally (if not worse) messy husband and probably a pet or two. But that doesn't mean you want to sacrifice a chic and fabulous looking home for a sloppy run down mess right?

You need real decorating tips, real organization tips, and fast and easy clean-up ideas to make your house a home. To make it look lived in, but loved right?

Enter Debbie Wiener. I was contacted by Debbie a few weeks ago to do a review of her book and giveaway and of course I jumped on the chance! I would love to learn how to pick a sofa that shows less stains and pick perfect accessories that compliments the Tickle Me Elmo in the corner.

Debbie is a "strong advocate for the cleaning-impaired and decorating challenged". She is a full service interior designer with her own firm (Designing Solution in Silver Spring, MD - all you locals call her up!)

She specializes in not creating beautiful showroom style houses (although I'm sure she can she was the winner of 2009 Best of the Best Bethesda Magazine) but designs for how we really  live. Sloppy.

In her book she'll teach you things like how to keep bathroom floors "spot" free even with boys (SIGN ME UP!) and how good lighting can make "even the modest rooms look impressive".

She'll help you choose sofas, chairs, rugs, curtains and paint that will hold up to the everyday life of toddlers, husbands, teens and pets!

Debbie is so generously giving away her book Slob Proof Real-life Design Solutions to one of my lucky readers!

The giveaway starts today and will run until March 4th and the winner will be determined by Random.org
