So this is what I wore: Mommy

Shirt- Charlotte Russe - Love this because it looks like a slip or something
Tank- Target (I think)
Jeans- Aeropostale- Clearly I love these jeans.
Shoes-Target
Hat-Eugenia Kim for Target
Earrings- Express

Not the most creative or inspired outfit. I rolled over at 10 AM and realized I was way late for church so this was what I put together in 20 minutes. You all are probably sick of seeing these jeans, but really I love them. I own maybe 10 pairs of jeans (Should I own more? I'm not a big jeans fan) and three are these distressed style but these Aero's are so perfectly worn in and comfy. They're actually about 2 sizes to big (yeah!) but I LOOOOOVE them. Maybe after vacation I'll start a jean shopping trip.

I also need some new simple black leather flip flops and some wedges but I'm seriously not finding anything of interest in the shoe department lately.

I'll like you forever, I'll love you for always. As long as I'm writing my reader's you'll be...

So this is what HE wore-

Suit- Target

Shoes- Sperry Top-Sider

My Mom picked this suit up on sale at Target the Monday after Easter. It's like a tan and white seersucker with pink tie that has sailboats on it. He looked super adorable in this. But what I loved was that it was a size 18 months (he's a tiny one) and it fit snug enough that he looked like Pete Wentz in a tight punk rock suit. I loved it. I think I'll always buy his suits a bit snug.

Have a great weekend everyone! The countdown until my husband gets home and we go on vacation starts today. That also means I'll be packing like crazy and hating myself under those awful dressing room lights as I try on swimsuits and cursing the stretch marks and post-baby bump that is still there. But then Phoenix will say something like "Oh. My. Gosh! Manny colored!" (His toy Handy Manny Phone had been colored on) like he did this week (with so much dramatics) and I'll be happy I have those stretch marks, saggy breast, and baby gut because if not he wouldn't be here.

So this is what HE wore-

We were running super late on Saturday afternoon and so I didn't give much thought to his outfit, but after throwing the hat on, it quickly became one of my favorites!

I'm on the hunt now for more hats.

Shirt- H&M Baby

Shorts- Target

Shoes- H&M Baby

Hat- Cade Christian via Kid Steals

Necklace- Gift from a friend

Side Note: We had a conference at church this past weekend and Saturday one of the kids came up and said he had this necklace that he wanted to give Phoenix. He said he had been praying and asking the Lord who to give it to and the Lord showed him Phoenix, and then he realized it had a Monkey on it (which is one of Phoenix's nicknames). I thought it was such a great, great story!

So this is what I wore: Embellished Shoulder Pads

I hope you all got a chance to check out my embellished shoulder pads DIY last week. And hopefully you don't think I'm too loony.

But if you're in fact thinking of taking on this same project below is a few snapshots of how I plan on wearing this top.

I haven't actually worn it yet because each time I think of wearing it its a bit to cold out and I don't think a coat would work well over the shirt.

So here's how I wore it-

Leggings- From Express which happen to be my FAVORITE!

Wedges - Bakers (no longer available) click here for similar looks

Turquoise Flats- Jeffrey Campbell from Nordstrom Rack. Can't find online, but these are a good match, and so are these from Endless.com .

Jeans- Boyfriend from Aeropostale.

Cute toddler- From me. But NOT for sale.

I think the leggings and wedges are a great date night look, but I really love the jeans with the top too. I like taking really dressy pieces and "dumbing" them down.

So this is how I plan on wearing my new fashion accessory I hope you try it too!

P.S. I recently ran across a new fashion blog and realized that I retitled the Fashion Roulette to So this is what I wore and this blog happens to be titled almost the same thing. I swear, I swear I had NO IDEA and now I'm wondering if I have to change it back. What do you think?

So this is what I wore: Mommy

(Notice I made a name change. It's my blog so I can do that)

Thanks to the Ultimate Blog Party from 5 minutes for Mom I've gotten some new readers and I'm so excited about that!

So welcome, welcome, welcome. I usually do a brunch at The St. Regis for new readers, but this month I'll think we'll pass. So as consolation prize catch up on some of my favorite posts here, here, and here. Oh and here too.

So I finally took some decent enough pictures Sunday of my outfit to do a new So this is what I wore post.

Top- H&M. These shoulder embellished tops are all over right now. I actually have a super fierce (or fetch) (which uber cool word sounds better? I'm trying to bring it back.) DIY version to show you this week. But be warned it is not for the faint of fashion.

But until then here is a good option , and another, and yet another

Jeans- Old Navy- Diva rise tight rolled like these from Gap

Shoes- Bakers wedges. Don't have mine online but similar to these

Brangles- Chamak Priya   from Gilt

Watch- Target Men's watch. I'm not a big watch person so I buy cheap watches that I don't care about losing. Because I seem to lose watches and sunglasses ALL THE TIME. Which is why I have stopped myself every time I've tried to buy expensive designer shades.

And it's summer er I mean spring so that means Slurpee's are a must.

Ok look don't be to hard on me about the pictures. I'm working on it remember?

Also I got a really cool email this weekend asking ME to give my number one baby tip to this iPhone app. Pretty cool. Huh? So what's my tip?

No matter what always trust your mommy/daddy intuition. Always. Period.

Also I'm trying something I saw on another blog called "Hot Spot's" if your interested it's only $5. Check it out on the left sidebar under links.

And last but not least I'd love for you to check out my new endeavor over YouTube. Let me know what you think.

Fashion Roulette-Phoenix

I haven't done a fashion roulette post in such a while for two reasons.

1. I have no idea how to take photos. I can do pictures with other people, but when its just me as the "subject" I have no idea what to do. Do I smile? How do I do the Tyra Banks "smile with the eyes"? Where should my hands go? Should I pose or be natural? Ahhh!!! I had my sister try and take pictures of me Sunday and she told me to hunch my shoulders and put my hand on my hip and this is what happened.

She just turned the camera off after that....I'm going to keep practicing.

2. If I try to do a post with Phoenix and his outfit its a major challenge to take the photo before M&M chocolate from his YaYa stains his shirt.

But I did manage to snag a few shots of him Sunday.

So without further ado.

Fashion Roulette- Phoenix Edition

A girly girl I am all the way to the bone. I love pink, lace, flowers and fashion. So obviously when I got pregnant I hoped for a little girl to basically play dress up with. But I didn't end up with a girl, I ended up with a boy. At first I was like "well there goes all the fun clothes" until it hit me that just because he was a boy didn't mean he was resigned to rompers with fire trucks and baseballs on them

Jeans and tennis shoes it might be, but its going to be fun.

And that's what I look for when I shop for Phoenix.

What looks cool? Ok so they paired that top oops I mean shirt (boys don't call them "tops") with those pants. But what if we put that shirt with these pants and added a tie or suspenders or cuffed the pants?

Here's what Phoenix wore on Sunday.

1. Black and gray striped cardigan from Nordstrom Rack

2. Snoopy t-shirt that reads "Hello. My name is Joe Cool. I'm only here for the babes" also from Nordstrom rack

3. Distressed jeans from H&M

4. Marvel comic spider man belt from H&M

5. Black suede Polo high-tops from Nordstrom Rack

When shopping for boys think "grown-up" and cool looking. Not babyish and get creative. I can't say that enough. My husband often says to me "Man! I wish I could dress like Phoenix!"

Just think outside the box.

You'll notice that there are chocolate stains on his shirt and he was sleeping in some of these. Good thing he isn't a model.

Fashion Roulette- Mom

Have you checked out the giveaway this week? Go enter! If your a mom or married (and certainly if your both) you NEED THIS BOOK.

I know this month it has been a lot of giveaways, don't worry I'm not going to turn into one of those blogs  that only does a bunch of reviews and stuff. This is still a blog run by a mom and for the moms (or whomever). LOL.

Ok so I really want to start doing outfit/fashion related post more often. I did this one last week and today will kick off another feature Fashion Roulette featuring some of favorite outfits for both me AND Phoenix (and maybe throw Dad in there every once in awhile)! I want to debunk both of those myths that 1. Say once you pop that kid out of you your destined to a life of mom jeans and clogs and 2. That its not fun dressing a boy. So not true! You just have to be creative!

What I'm wearing:

Button down flannel plaid shirt from (Target)
Long boyfriend style tshirt with white tank underneath (to help conceal the twins) (Charlotte Russe)
Boot cut jeans (Old Navy-Sweetheart cut)
Flat suede boots
Big flower headband (H&M)

Let's pay nooooo attention to the straggling wires. Ya know we're moving and all.

Here is my new hair color. You likey?

Want to put together a similar outfit?

Ditsy Floral headband (Forever21) and yes I love this print with the print of the shirt. I can't express how much I love mixing patterns and prints!

Hope you liked it! I promise some post will be more exciting then this. Maybe not all the time. But every once in awhile I put on a bit more "ritz" then normal. Usually Friday night date night.

But hopefully it'll inspire you to do what I love the most and what my husband hates...SHOP MORE!
